Prior to March 12, 2020, I was quite literally living the dream. I had reached a huge career goal and had some amazing projects lined up. And then the entire world changed.
The pandemic changed everything. I unexpectedly spent 8 months living with my parents in Central Florida and it was an incredible time discovering rest, priorities, family history, deep systemic issues in my industry, my tiny place in the world, the meaning of friendship, and how I can be an agent of change and good in the world.
I took myself on a two-month road trip through the western half of the U.S. where I deepened my love of travel. It solidified the need to prioritize making time to travel more and not simply dream about doing it one day. My family priorities heightened. My work priorities changed dramatically. And I opened myself up to the possibilities of breaking out of the box I had kept myself in for the 7 years prior.
Even if you are lucky enough to love your work, it is your job. It is not who you are. What are your priorities? What are your values? What do you want to put into the world and be remembered for?

Be a kind human. Do good work. Choose Joy.

My Priorities & Values
-
Family
-
First and foremost my parents. My niece and nephews. Sister and Brother-in-law. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other extended family across the globe!
-
-
Friends
-
From those I made as a child to those I make on my travels, friendships keep you grounded. Tell your friends you love them and be honest with your feelings when you are hurt or upset.
-
-
Travel
-
One of my bucket list goals is to set foot in as many countries as possible. Traveling opens your mind and heart in ways you never expect.

Kindness & Compassion
-
As the Dalai Lama says "we are all the same Human Beings." The more we are able to see that in each other and build our practice of kindness and compassion, the more peace and joy we will have in ourselves and the world.
